This Page is dedicated to the loving memory of Lily Jacob!
Her legacy and memory will live on in the lives and curiosity of every young child that comes
to Rio del Mar Elementary School to learn.
Please see the Principal about scholarships in her name to help with funding to help pay tuition for Outdoor School.
"Live Love Like Lilly!"
I included my dog Bandit here cause I knew that Lily liked my dog. I know they are both in heaven together now!

Picture above is of my Pop who served in the US ARMY as a Chaplain and was a LTC when he retired after 25 years and two tours to Viet Nam and one two year tour to Korea. There is a few of his medals along with the flag that was on his coffin after he passed away in 2006. Full color guard folded the flag ceremoniously and then handed it to my grieving mother. There was a full company gun salute and then Taps played. I will never forget how he served our country and the many years he was gone (away from us) on tour. I loved when he would finally return healthy, alive and full of love for our family and the nation that he so proudly served!
There are many things that he instilled in my heart, love for God, Country, Family and a deep reverence and respect for our American Flag. I hope that I have brought some of that value to all my students as we have devoted time every day this school year to doing the pledge of allegiance. I think of my Pop every time (we salute) and all the great Americans that have gone on before to give us the freedoms we enjoy and hopefully never destroy!
